Flood Relief - Louisiana

16 - 18 September 2016

Louisiana, US

There was a reported estimate number of 60,646 homes damaged and 30,000 people rescued due to the storm and flooding in Baton Rouge and Denham Springs Louisiana. The American Red cross called it the worst natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy that struck New Jersey in 2012. Our Global Missions department is making an impact through monetary donations which will supply hot meals and hygiene items to those devastated; also this gift will help provide all the essentials to support volunteers in the rebuilding process. We partnered with "Operation Blessing" and "All Hands," for the weekend to help assist with the gutting phase. The team contributed to 3 houses being fully gutted and they were able to scout for phase 2 of our flood relief efforts!
