Operation Christmas Child - Marietta

Operation Christmas Child - Marietta

26 November 2016

Marietta, GA

WCC Marietta participated in the Operation Christmas Child program organized by Samaritan Purse. WCC Marietta prepared and donated to Samaritan Purse a total of 267 christmas shoe boxes. The boxes were delivered to the Samaritan Purse Processing Center in Suwanee, Georgia on 11/26/2016. 8 CDGM volunteers joined other hundreds of volunteers from different states to process the shoe boxes. The shoe boxes processed that day will be sent to Benin, Belize, and Guyana.

Our impact

This event will impact the world, as millions of children who are orphans or from poor families will receive gifts, more importantly the message that Jesus Christ loves them and is their savior.

This event was a world outreach, our team extending God's loves as expressed in gift giving.

Event highlight

A testimony from a young lady who several years ago received a christmas shoe box and her life was changed as she came to realize the love of God through that shoe box and ultimately received Christ.

Another success

It is amazing to see hundreds of volunteers from different religious boackgrounds/ denominations working together in one accord for one common goal to proclaim the love of God through the christmas shoe boxes.
