The Christmas Appeal – This is the “Samaritan’s Purse Australia” for the operation Christmas Child Appeal. Through Samaritan’s Purse children and families caught in the cycle of poverty are provided with a gift shoebox, filled with school supplies, toys and personal items. The shoeboxes are distributed through local churches and represent the Christian message of hope and explain the true meaning of Christmas – God’s gift of his son, Jesus. These gifts have been filled in shoeboxes by the Asia Pacific staff. We filled 200 boxes altogether.

Our work with Operation Christmas Child takes place around the world, we personally distribute boxes in Haiti and fill, sort, pack and ship thousands of boxes from Atlanta and New York at the Operation Christmas Child distribution centers.

As each shoebox gift is delivered, the child that receives it, treasures it and it is a lasting reminder that he or she is precious to God.
