South Africa Empowerment Campaign 2015 - Update

Creflo Dollar Global Missions got off to a great start with our South Africa Empowerment Campaign! We had the best time with 22 young men. They gave God praise through song and dance. We were able to bless each of them with hygiene kits and brand new bedding.

Thank you for your prayers and support!

Mission: Day 1

Bright Lights is a home or as we know it in the states, an orphanage, of 20 boys. We were introduced to this home by graphic design company we use. The youngest is 9 the oldest is 17. Once they turn 18, they are out on their own, on the streets, if they don't have a plan. But there is really no one to help them with that plan. A few of them don't go to school because they are so far behind. In every sense of the word, they can be defined as lost boys. But they aren't. They are warm, open, bright, loving, and typical boys!

The moment we walked in we were greeted by their sweet smiles. They shook our hands and gave me hugs. Instantly I felt captivated. They sang and danced for us and in that moment I saw their potential. I don't want them to be defined by their circumstances. I want them to be able to have their education that everyone is entitled too. They are more than their circumstances. They are called and have been created for a purpose.

I know this is a Devine set up. I know through Creflo Dollar Global Missions, our CDM members, partners and friends can come together and help empower change in the lives of these boys!

Mission: Day 2

There is a saying in South Africa, "You strike a woman, you strike a rock”. As South Africa celebrates Women's Month, CDGM along with Pastor Taffi Dollar were honored to visit two shelters that service women and children, who have or are suffering from domestic violence and sex trafficking. From speaking a word to empower and encourage, to being a part of a special ceremony honoring committed staff receiving certifications across various fields, including medical and social auxiliary work, a mark was made.

CDGM had the opportunity to financially sow into the enhancements and upgrading of the resident living quarters so that it could be a warm home and safe place for the women and children to come to. In addition, giving away more than 100 Care Kits filled with tools to meet the women's physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

The shelters combined have been pillars in the community for more than 25 years. As they continue to empower and uplift the women of South Africa, ultimately affecting the future of the country, the children, CDGM is proud to be a supporter of change.

Understanding Grace. Empowering Change in South Africa.
