What did your location do?

We distributed (28) $25 gift cards to children and teenagers. We also distributed 27 toys to the children at WCC-Phoenix and the Balsz Community Resource Center. We also distributed 10 Hygiene baskets to be given out by the members to the less fortunate. Our bookstore donated and distributed out 10 bags of CD/DVD’s bags with snacks.

How did this event impact your community?

This event had brought together 54 members; children and teens, and non members together to hear the powerful message of Dr. Dollar on the reason for Christmas is Jesus Christ and His purpose of coming to Earth. We had 18 volunteers and were able to pray for 5+ people and 0 received Salvation. Majority of those in attendance had received salvation.

Why was this event significant to your community?

It allowed us to meet and have conversation with people who were in need as well as them getting to know our purpose in the community; to spread the Gospel of Grace. It also allowed us to collect additional names and contact information, so we can be able to stay in touch with them.

Describe a significant moment that happened during the event

We had our 1st live music team come together to sing Christmas songs. Also we had a short poem and skit perform right after service, before dining together and it were well received. This had showed the Music Team and the congregation our gifts within us. God has already made the provision. There was much love and fellowship among everyone.

Please share your testimony about this event.

The response was amazing, it allowed those whom had stop coming to church, return and share with us how much they missed the church. Now they will return back. A First Time Visitor stated; how much he was Blessed by the Word, and how much he really enjoyed the fellowship afterwards says he will be returning. Also a member’s companion who was reluctant to join her at church, who had came for the 1st time enjoyed the service so much and the fellowship is now looking forward to visit again. People shared with us how WCC-Phoenix cares about the community and how we show it. Amen!
