The children remembered us from previous projects and took time to express their gratitude for what we have done. The superintendent stopped by to let us know what a blessing WCC-KC has been to the classroom we adopted and the school as a whole. She stated she knows every time we are there that we will leave the school and sanctuary better than the way we found it. There was a flash flood warning in the area over the weekend and we were unable to clean outside, so we cleaned the sanctuary (vacuuming the seat cushions, mopping the floor and picking up trash) and the classroom (cleaning doors, chairs, filing some of the paperwork piled in corners, that the teacher has no place to store). Purchased about 8 bins for storing the papers and other items.
