West & South Africa Empowerment Campaign 2016 - Johannesburg Update

Mission: Botlokwa Primary School

There were 250 students and 150 parents in attendance at Botlokwa Primary School. We preached the Word, prayed for healing and distributed gifts while there today. All 400 received prayer approximately 200 specifically for healing. The items we gave were various food items, rice, salt, toilet paper and cleaning supplies. We spent the rest of the afternoon fellowshipping with the staff and playing with the children.

Mission: Polokego Women's and Children's Shelter

Polokego Women's and Children's Shelter in Krugersdorp - Gauteng, South Africa.

We ministered to women and children who have come out of homes or situations were there was abuse in various forms, drug addiction, abandonment etc. We worshipped and prayed together as well as distributed hygiene kits, Pastor Taffi's Embracing the Love book and food items for the shelter.

The women also had a powerful Q&A sessions with Pastor Taffi where she answered questions ranging from how to emotional overcome after being abused to how to forgive those who have been abusive to you.

Mission: Kliptown Youth Program

We ministered to approximately 200 children as well as the workers on site. We gave away balls for netball and soccer as well as uniforms for both as recreation is a huge part of their program that keeps kids off the streets and gives them a way towards a better future. The kids were so excited to receive the gifts as they were previously playing soccer with a tennis ball.

We also provided 100 hygiene kits with multiple items including sanitary napkins to girls of age. The area the children live in is very impoverished and they do not have access to items such as these. This causes the girls to miss school and feel ashamed due to not having these simple items. Thanks again!

Mission: Lufuno Creche

This is a pre-school for underprivileged students who live in the settlement. There are approximately 100 children at this location. We sang with and prayed over the children. We provided 100 blankets for each child and food for the shelter. The teachers thanked us for making the children warm for the winter and advised that the children can not afford the blankets provide

Mission: Hands of Compassion

These locations house over 120 men, women and children. The community provides several programs to include a youth center for children who cannot stay with other family, new mothers who would otherwise be on the street, addiction recovery programs, gender equality programs for women and a chef educational program for underprivileged adults to name a few. We spent time with the residents and prayed over the leaders and facility. We also donated towards the facilities day-to-day's needs.
